A
safe method of handling sensitive stores in confined spaces,
the system is used in various classes of vessels including frigates,
destroyers, aircraft carriers, mine sweepers and mine hunters. A
MINILIFT hoist suspended on a trolley runs along a system of
overhead rails and turntables to transport missiles, bombs and
torpedoes within the ship's
magazine. Locking arrangements safely secure the trolley should
the operator lose control in adverse weather or combat conditions.
Systems can be designed for any magazine layout and are available
for working loads up to 1828kg.
