Procurement Engineer
Location: Didsbury Inc. Coppell, Texas, USA.

This role involves managing day to day procurement activities for engineering projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and components, while maintaining quality and adhering to safety standards. This role involves technical evaluation of components, supplier management, risk mitigation, and collaboration with engineering and other departments.
Primary Accountabilities
Sourcing and Procurement: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for direct and indirect materials, including new product introductions.
Technical Expertise: Understanding technical specifications, drawings, and engineering requirements to effectively source components.
Supplier Management: Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, managing performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
Cost Management: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to achieve target costs.
Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks within the supply chain, such as supply shortages or quality issues.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring that procured components meet required quality standards and specifications.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records, generating reports, and providing updates on procurement activities.
Collaboration: Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective procurement processes.
Essential Personal Skills / Attributes
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and materials.
Procurement Experience: Experience in operational procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and contract management.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to procurement and supply chain.
IT Skills: Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience of working in the engineering industry: Understanding of the specific requirements and regulations of engineering markets
